How the free tier works
Every visitor gets starter credits to generate speech without creating an account. A short line costs a credit or two, so the starter credits cover several minutes of audio on the Standard model.
Creating a free account adds more credits and saves your generations in a Library. If you need more later, small one-time packs are available. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
Why the free limit is credits, not “unlimited”
Natural-sounding voices need serious compute for every second of audio. Instead of capping you with ads or throttled quality, we give a clear number of credits and show the cost before you generate.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a watermark or an audio tag?
No. The audio you download is just your speech.
How many characters can I convert for free?
It depends on the model. The Standard model is the most economical, so the starter credits go furthest there. The estimated cost is shown next to the Generate button before you spend anything.
Can I use the audio in my videos?
You are responsible for how you use generated audio and must have the right to publish your text. Do not impersonate real people. See the Terms for details.
Do you store my text?
Text is sent to the speech model to create your audio. Signed-in users can find their generations in the Library and delete them at any time.
